The Car that Blogging Bought
Categories:
A year ago, despite my meager salary, I bought a Subaru Ts for 67K. I wanted the Subaru STI, the king of the Singapore road, but I knew I couldn’t afford it. So I paid the minimum down payment and took a ten year loan for the much cheaper Subaru Ts.
I enjoyed the car. I get chicks, chicks who are more interested in getting from A to B than in me, the same chicks whom i get to shag every other day. Yes, I have to scrimp every month. I skip lunch. I settled with cheap clothes. I have no savings. It’s all worth it though.
And then came blogging, two months after i bought the car. At first i thought blogging is just some online diary where you bitch about your pathetic life. But as I dig deeper into the blogosphere I learn that blogging can make you money.
Just write, slap some ads and you will earn. As simple as that.
Easier said than done though. My first blog was a failure. I earn nothing. I must be doing something wrong I told myself, So i did more research.
I realize my blog was too personal. It provides no value to my readers. Hell, I have no readers except for some friends and occasional strangers. I deleted my blog and swore that I would do it right this time.
The three most important thing in commercial blogging that I learnt:
1)Choose a profitable niche topic that has low competition.
2)Write for the audience, not yourself.
3)One blog is never enough.
My first blog is a success. The first month I earn $2 a day. Soon it grows to $10, then $20, then $50. My first blog now earns me $300 a day.
If I can earn $300 a day with one blog, imagine how much I can earn with twenty blogs? I have twenty blogs now. You do the maths.
Last week I said goodbye to my Subaru Ts. It has served me well. I will miss the sweat and semen-stained leather. I will hold the memory of countless shagging at the back seats dear.
On the same day I sold my TS, I bought my dream car – Subaru STI. I could have bought a BMW, a merc but I’ve always wanted the Subaru STI. The car that will make any girl go wild. I paid cash, a fraction of what I earn every month from blogging.
I’ll get the my Subaru STI next week. I can’t wait.
